Does the city’s waste hauler accept hazardous household materials and large bulk items as part of the weekly curbside collection program?
Waste Management is under contract with the city to provide for the weekly refuse and recycling curbside collection service. One large item per week per residential address is permitted (e.g., sofa, appliance, etc.). However, hazardous household materials are handled by the county via REWorks. Program details can be obtained at the Summit County REWorks website or by calling 330-374-0383. Details on acceptable items for curbside refuse and recycling can also be found on the Recycling and Refuse Collection page and on Waste Management's website at www.WM.com.
