Does the city’s waste hauler accept hazardous household materials and large bulk items as part of the weekly curbside collection program?: Waste Management is under contract with the city to provide for the weekly refuse and recycling curbside collection service. One large item per week per residential address is permitted (e.g., sofa, appliance, etc.). However, hazardous household materials are handled by the county via REWorks. Does the City of Twinsburg belong to any utilities aggregation programs that the residents can take advantage of to lower the cost of gas and electric bills?: Yes, the city is a member of aggregation programs for both electric and natural gas. Program details are available by contacting NOPEC for the electric aggregation at 1-855-667-3201 and Constellation Energy at 1-699-4014 for information on the natural gas program.

3. How often are the sanitary sewer services billed by the city, and what is the residential rate? Is it tied to the amount of water used?: The city operates its own independent wastewater treatment plant, and therefore sanitary sewer charges are billed directly to residents on a quarterly basis by the city. The amount is currently a quarterly flat rate of $62.50 as determined by Ordinance. The City of Cleveland is the city’s water utility provider, and therefore a separate quarterly bill will be received for water usage. Cleveland’s Division of Water can be reached at 216-664-2444.
