TWINSBURG (January 25, 2016) – Twinsburg Naturalist Stanley Stine has launched a new blog titled “Nature Logs” that will be hosted on TwinsburgRecreation.com. The series aims to educate and entertain nature enthusiasts or even a resident looking to explore the outdoors. Three entries have been added so far with many to come!

9/22/15: Planting with a Purpose
Summary: National attention has been focused on the plight of the Monarch Butterfly, a species declining in numbers. One reason for the concerning decline is lack of food, specifically milkweed. Learn about how you can contribute to the Monarch’s return!

12/30/15: Old Hickory Trail; Today & Yesterday
Take a journey complete with photographs through the history of Old Hickory Trail. From construction to its current condition, you will have a new perspective next time you walk the path!

1/21/16: Wintertime Photography, Simply Natural
Don’t let the cold weather scare you off! Grab a coat and a camera for a walk in the park! Learn about exciting photo opportunities that only present themselves in winter.

Stanley will be speaking on March 13th at Twinsburg Community Center as part of a program titled “Native Plants: Adventures in the Garden.” The program begins at 1:00 p.m. and is presented by Twinsburg Garden Club and Twinsburg Parks & Recreation.
