[ARCHIVED] Community Gardens close October 30th

TWINSBURG (September 15, 2015) – Many have been reaping the benefits of hard work and dedication this year at the Twinsburg Community Gardens. Unfortunately, the gardening season is coming to a close on Friday, October 30th. Before the gates close, please visit your plot one last time to make sure that all stakes, strings, plastic, tomato cages, hoses, and other items are removed. If it is a 3 year plot, the garden may remain as is.

During the 2015 season, 94 gardeners spent many hours at the gardens. Moving forward, Twinsburg Parks and Recreation will continue to offer plots and hope to see some new faces in 2016. City residents may renew their current plot now through February 19, 2016. Gardeners may not change or reserve new plots until open registration for residents takes place on February 23, 2016. Nonresidents may register for any remaining plots on March 14, 2016. Please note that gardeners who reserved a plot for 2015, but did not plant a garden and the area became filled with weeds and maintained by the city, will not be able to renew the plot until open resident registration.

Twinsburg Parks and Recreation would like to thank those who participated in 2015. Mark your calendar and be sure to reserve a plot for next season.

Resident 2015 plot renewal: Through February 19, 2016
Resident open registration: Starts February 23, 2016
Nonresident open registration: Starts March 14, 2016
