[ARCHIVED] Surprise visitors stop by TFC Kid Park

Officer E and Yasso

TWINSBURG (August 31, 2015) – Children at the Twinsburg Fitness Center’s Kid Park received a special surprise on Friday, August 28th that left the group both educated and entertained. Officer E (Encarnacione) and K-9 Yasso of the Twinsburg Police Department took some time out of their morning to drop by the Kid Park for demonstrations, education, and just some fun with K-9 Yasso.

Officer E asked the children to help Yasso make a grand entrance by calling his name as the talented K-9 sprinted around the police vehicle. Officer E explained Yasso’s job as a police officer and how he was trained for his type of work in order to protect him while also aiding others. The pair of officers offered a perfect example of teamwork as a major take away from the visit. The attentive group was amazed to learn that Yasso is impossible to beat at hide and seek due to his ability to track their scent. Not only that, but Yasso can also understand commands in German since he was born there. The Kid Park was filled with smiles as they enjoyed the special experience.

The Twinsburg Fitness Center will be making it a priority moving forward to offer more to their Kid Park children after the exceptional experience with the officers. The Fitness Center would like to thank Officer E and K-9 Yasso for coming in and hope to see them again in the future!
