[ARCHIVED] Regarding Waste Management’s Temporary Trash Pick-up Policy

Good afternoon everyone. There is still some confusion regarding Waste Management’s temporary policy regarding trash pick-up. Please understand that these measures are to ensure the safety of the WM workers. Until further notice, WM will only pick-up trash located in your assigned bins. Anything that will not fit in the bins should be stored for the next week’s removal. As a reminder, please place your bins at the end of your driveway close to the road and separated so that the apparatus the workers use to dump the bins can easily access the bins. I understand that this is an inconvenience for some who are home cleaning out old stuff from basements and garages, but again this is a temporary measure to help us all limit the spread of COVID-19. If you do not have a bin please place all bagged trash at your curb or designated location. We sent service workers around yesterday to pick-up as much as we could, however moving forward our service workers will not be available to perform this task. We are working on a limited crew and it is unsafe for them to be handling a resident’s trash at this time also.

As mentioned in my update yesterday, we have designated an area in the Liberty Park (ball fields) parking lot for residents to drop off branches. Again, we are working on a limited-service crew and are unable to run our full branch chipping program. This area will be available starting on Friday.

Thanks again for your understanding, patience and help through this difficult time. All of our efforts are making a difference in Ohio. Stay strong! Together we will get through this!
