City of Twinsburg Invites Residents to Apply for Boards and Commissions
The City of Twinsburg is seeking engaged and community-minded residents to serve on its Boards and Commissions. These volunteer positions provide an opportunity to play an active role in shaping the future of our city and supporting the work of local government.
In accordance with Section 7.01 of the Charter of the City of Twinsburg, eligible individuals are invited to apply for available appointments. The City is committed to fair and equitable consideration of all applicants. No person shall be appointed to, removed from, or favored or discriminated against for any appointive City position or administrative office based on race, sex, or political or religious opinions or affiliations.
To ensure transparency and public trust, no elected officer or appointed employee of the City, whether engaged full or part time, may have any interest in the conduct of their office other than their fixed compensation. Public office may not be used to promote personal financial gain or create a conflict of interest.

Current Board and Commission Openings
Architectural Review Board – Three Openings
Must be a resident of the City of Twinsburg holding no other public office in the municipality. Appointment by Council for a three-year term ending March 31, 2029.
Meetings: First and third Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
Board of Tax Review – Two Openings
Must be a resident of the City of Twinsburg holding no other public office in the municipality. Two members shall be appointed by the legislative authority of the City of Twinsburg. Appointees may not be employees, elected officials, or contractors with the City at any time during their term or in the five years immediately preceding the date of appointment (applies only to these two appointments).
One member shall be appointed by the Mayor and may be an employee of the City, but may not be the Director of Finance (or equivalent officer), the Tax Administrator, any official directly involved in municipal tax matters, or any direct subordinate thereof.
Appointment by Council to fill the two-year term ending March 31, 2028.
Board of Zoning Appeals – Wards Two (2) and Four (4)
Must be a resident of the City of Twinsburg residing in Ward Two (2) or Ward Four (4), holding no other public office in the municipality. Appointment by Council for a three-year term ending March 31, 2029.
Meetings: Fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
Capital Improvement Board – Wards Three (3) and Four (4)
Must be a qualified elector of the City of Twinsburg residing in Ward Three (3) or Ward Four (4). Appointment by Council for a two-year term ending March 31, 2028.
Meetings: Held in August and September annually.
Civil Service Commission – One Opening
Must be a qualified elector of the City of Twinsburg residing in the City of Twinsburg and hold no other City office or appointment. Appointment by Council for a three-year term ending March 31, 2029.
Meetings: Second Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m.
Environmental Commission – Three Openings
Must be a resident of the City of Twinsburg in any ward. Appointment by Council for a two-year term ending March 31, 2028.
Meetings: First Tuesday of February, March, April, May, September, and October, with planned events throughout the year.
JEDI Commission – Four Openings
Must be a resident of the City of Twinsburg holding no other public office in the municipality. Appointment by Council for a two-year term ending March 31, 2028.
Meetings: Second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
Parks and Recreation Commission – Wards Three (3), Four (4), and Five (5)
Must be a resident of the City of Twinsburg residing in Ward Three (3), Ward Four (4), or Ward Five (5). Appointment by Council for a two-year term ending March 31, 2028.
Meetings: Fourth Thursday of February, April, May, August, and October. Additional meetings and events may be scheduled as needed throughout the year.
Planning Commission – Wards Three (3), Four (4), and Five (5)
Must be a qualified elector of the City of Twinsburg residing in Ward Three (3), Ward Four (4), or Ward Five (5). Appointment by Council for a three-year term ending March 31, 2029.
Meetings: Third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
