Community Emergency Response Team

The Twinsburg Fire Department holds a FEMA charter for Twinsburg’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), which consists of volunteers, who assist first responders in the event of an emergency and other non-emergent community events.  Some Twinsburg CERT members are dual rostered to the Summit County Team and may be deployed throughout the county.  Members are dedicated to monthly training sessions, as well as their initial 20 hours of basic training.  Team members have received training in Fire Safety, Disaster Medical Operations, Search & Rescue, Disaster Psychology, Identifying Hazardous Materials, Community Anti-Terrorism, CPR/AED/First Aid, GPS/Mapping and the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
