The Information Technology (IT) department is committed to serving the business operations of the City by providing enterprise-wide integrated system solutions and high-quality customer service to ensure the efficient utilization of technology resources and investments. Additionally, I.T. is responsible for enabling the online interaction between the citizens of the City of Twinsburg with the City's elected officials and Administration.
Information Technology (IT) is responsible for delivering quality services in the areas of systems support, hardware and software help desk support, network operations, purchasing, telecommunications, and business systems analysis. IT provides customer service for all of the City's user departments. Currently, there are approximately 130 desktop computers and servers, and over 300 individual computer user accounts located at 12 locations throughout the City. There are currently four major business systems and over 20 software applications administered and supported by the staff. In the telecommunications area there are approximately 100 mobile units and 150 desktop telephones. Each month the IT Help Desk receives approximately 175 requests for assistance from City computer users.
