Police Officer Candidates Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 21 years of age on the date of the examination
Valid Ohio Drivers License and a good driving history
No felony, domestic violence or sex crime convictions
No crimes against a person or property crimes within 3 years
No minor misdemeanor crimes within 1 year
Must meet all medical and physical requirements prescribed by the Twinsburg Civil Service Commission and the Twinsburg Police Department
Selection Process This exam is open to all who meet the requirements. The selection process will consist of a competitive exam, a polygraph exam, an oral interview, physical agility and fitness testing, a background investigation, psychological and medical tests. Candidates must pass all parts of the process to be considered for appointment. Once appointed, candidates must pass a 14 week field training program and a 12 month probationary period.
